Dismissal Procedures:
You would want me to tell you, dismissal is not going well. Parents are double parking, stopping in the middle of the road on the opposite side of the street trying to pick up their children, leaving their cars running in the middle of everything. None of this is practical or SAFE. PLEASE... PLEASE be patient. I will try to keep the flow of traffic steady, have all the children dismiss at approximately the same time and adhere to basic rules of car safety. IF YOU PARK ACROSS THE STREET, GO TO THE CROSS WALK. YOUR CHILD WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO CROSS THE ROAD - WITH OR WITHOUT YOU. Do not leave your car to get your child. If you can pull in and stay by the curb, please do so. If we can load your car with your child, we will. There is only ONE thing that will motivate me or the staff and that is the safety of your child! -
Payments
All bills for the months of August, September and October are due NOW in the office. I know it is difficult but we have many families that are not current with their payments. Please do so by November 4th or we will be sending you a letter with some not great consequences. Families who are more than two months late in their payments will not be permitted to continue to send their children to school. I hate writing this more than you hate getting this gentle reminder. Please get current with all bills. Thank you for all those who pay on time. We really appreciate it. School Events:
Events I hate to end on a difficult note but I need to remind parents that school events, like our Christmas pageant, are mandatory and ALL children are to attend. That did not happen and it made me sad for the children that missed their chance to shine! Thank you to all you sent in wonderful treats for me and the staff during the holiday season. We are so grateful for kindness! You're the best!-
Honeywell Instant Alert :
BSS has an emergency alert system as a means to contact all families in a quick and effective way. Unfortunately we can only send this message in either Spanish or English but not both. However, IF YOU ARE NOT RECEIVING AN ALERT that means we do not have a correct telephone number for your family and we want to correct it. If you would like to change the number currently receiving the alert, call us too. This is an important service we can provide for our families. .
